Agility Training

All training is recommencing on the 16th July.

There are some new rules regarding Social Distancing and Sanitation so please refer to the changes emailed to all members. Start time has been amended to 5:30pm to facilitate some of the new rules.

Please Note: Training does not run on the nights General meetings run (Every Second Thursday of the Month)

For those interested in participating in agility, either for fun or competition, it is a requirement you attend and pass our basic obedience course first (yellow level). If your dog doesn’t obey basic obedience commands, it will be difficult to navigate an agility or jumping course.

Training is open to all financial members of the club and there is a $5 ground fee payable on the day.

For those with young dogs under the age of 12 months will not be allowed to jump their dogs or use some of the larger obstacles due to the potential for injury to growing bones, don’t let this stop you from attending as there is plenty of basic techniques to learn and master.

Remember to bring a crate or a tie-out stake and treats/toys, and have your dog wearing a flat collar without any tags. (No martingale collars or check chains.) Your dog’s nails must be short so he can grip the surface of the equipment properly – clip them if necessary.
